Laurie Anderson, MAET, LCMHC - Clinical Counselor
I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor and a founding partner at Souhegan Valley Counseling, PLLC. I have 19 years of human services experience in vocational rehabilitation and clinical counseling, and 9 of those years were focused on specializing in vision impairment (legal blindness) and total blindness for adults and teenagers. I am licensed to provide counseling in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. I have a master's degree in expressive arts therapy, which means that in addition to standard psychological interventions and techniques, I also offer clients an opportunity to use their unique creativity to foster growth and change in their lives through the use of visual art forming, physical movement, role playing or vocal improvisation. Expressive arts is known to help people to get out of rumination and analytical thinking which may then lead to new insights. When I am not counseling, I enjoy dancing, spirituality, reading, art journaling, hiking, camping, and acting improvisation.
